Casting belt buckles is our passion. Given our casting machines' abilities to produce amazing details, we have been asked to offer custom casting services to artists. This is a service we are willing to offer, but there are some parameters on what we can and cannot do. Kindly note, this is a courtesy service, not our main business avenue. We are not able to make molds or finish items, on most pieces. Unless it's really close to a belt buckle. Please reach out to us with your project details and we can better assist your unitque needs.
Bronze Casting
Small can $200 per can.
Large can $245 per can.
Includes 1 pound of bronze. $20 per pound after 1st pound.
Items are sandblasted, cleaned, and trimmed of any sprues we added. Price is for UNFINISHED pieces.
PRODUCTION TIME- 4-6 weeks once waxes are here.
Sterling Silver .925 Casting
Small can $220 per can.
Large can $310 per can.
PLUS cost of metal: spot price plus $20 per ounce.
Items are sandblasted, cleaned, and trimmed of any sprues we added. Price is for UNFINISHED pieces.
PRODUCTION TIME- 6-8 weeks once waxes are here.
Solid Gold Cast
Small can $260 per can.
Large can $360 per can.
Customer must supply gold, to include sprue.

Small Can Size: 4" x 6.5
Round flasks or cans are used for casting.
1" button bottom in wax for opening and attachment for wax tree to attach to. Required .5" on all sides of can to be free of any wax for secure castings. Failure to have this gap results in either having to use a larger can and more cost or the risk that the investment may collapse in casting, resulting in a failed cast.
ADDITIONAL CHARGES:
• SPRUE TIME: $5 per minute.
First 5 minutes are free
• FINISHING FEES: Quoted on a per piece basis, starting at $20.
• DRILLING/TAPPING FEES:
$10 per hole.
Large Can Size: 6" x 8"
HOW MANY PIECES CAN I FIT IN A CAN?
The number of pieces that can fit into each can is so specific to the item you are looking to cast. The more items needing to be treed can add greatly to your extra sprue charges. If things are treed too tightly, we may not be able to trim off with the tools we have. Local customers are welcome to tree and trim their own cans, off-site.
We do exactly what is given to us.
If the piece is poorly made, you will receive a poorly cast item back. We are not wax chasers or metal chasers and will not work on cleaning up your art. Please make sure your piece is exactly how you would like it prior to casting.
Prices subject to change. There is no guarantee that castings will turn out, it is the risk you assume. If a cast fails, we will not charge you for the casting and you will not be compensated for the loss of your wax. If you are not happy with your casting, this must be addressed at the time of pick up. If your piece leaves WHC and you return later with complaints, WHC has the right to refuse refunds. If it leaves here, you have purchased it.
Apologies in advance, regrettably:
• We do not pour or chase wax.
• We cannot make molds for you.
• 3D resins do not work with our process.
Castable or otherwise has far too great a failure rate.
• Finishes on pieces are quite minimal.
We have limited tools and skilled craftsmen, outside of making belt buckles.
